On Saturday May 5th, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., the Bremerton Symphony Association and Peninsula Services’ All Shred will hold a shredding fundraiser in the Albertsons’ parking lot on Wheaton Way, Bremerton.
It will be a drive-in affair: for the suggested donation of $1/pound your most sensitive paperwork will immediately be run through All-Shred’s state-of-the-art equipment while you watch. Prepaid tickets, $10 for 15 pounds, are available from the Bremerton Symphony office through May 4th, (360)373-1722.
Proceeds will benefit the many facets of the Bremerton Symphony Association—the Symphony Orchestra, the Concert Chorale, the Youth Orchestra, and youth education programs sponsored by the BSA across the Kitsap Peninsula.
You can help deter identify theft by shredding financial documents and paperwork with personal information before you discard them. Examples of items you can bring in for shredding include: bank statements, medical forms, retired tax forms, insurance forms, receipts, and personal files. See chart below for suggestions on how long you should retain paperwork.
