Bremerton Symphony League Music Camp Scholarships 2013

Scholarships in the amount of $300 will be awarded in May to two young musicians who attend an orchestral or vocal music camp during the summer of 2013.

ELIGIBILITY GUIDELINES:

  • Students must be an orchestral instrumentalist or vocalist
  • Student must reside in the West Sound regions (Narrows Bridge north to the top of the Kitsap Peninsula, east to Bainbridge Island, west to Shelton)
  • Student must not yet have completed the eleventh grade at time of application
  • Application must be complete
  • Student must complete Section 4 of application form
  • Student, if awarded a scholarship, must attend an orchestral or vocal music summer camp in 2013. Funds can only be used for attendance at a summer music camp that provides an orchestral or choral experience.
  • Employees of the BSA and their immediate families are ineligible to apply.

APPLICATION MUST BE RECEIVED IN THE BSA OFFICE BY APRIL 10, 2013

The Bremerton Symphony League presents “A Delicious Summer Treat” – July 17th

You’re invited to A Delicious Summer Treat, a Violin and Piano Concert featuring Claire Sledd and Marina Lashkul.

Clair Sledd, violinist, grew up in Bremerton. At the age of 16 she left for England where she is currently studying at the Royal Academy of Music in London.

Marina Lashkul is a pianist from Saratov University in Russia, now making Bremerton her home. She performs with the Bremerton Symphony Orchestra and teaches piano at Langlois Pianos.

These two highly accomplished musicians have performed together in premiere concerts in Seattle and elsewhere.

Don’t miss this rare opportunity to hear them perform for our local audience.
